Pastor-Elect Clarissa White, a beacon of faith and inspiration, was born and raised in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California, into a lineage of spiritual leadership as the daughter of the late Rev. Dr. Willie Williams Sr. and Lady Arnella Williams. Her journey of faith began at the tender age of 9 when she accepted Christ into her life and was baptized at St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church by Pastor Rev. Dr. JD Wilhite. Though she started as a humble and quiet child, Clarissa has blossomed into a spiritually gifted and bold advocate for Christ’s teachings.
She shares her life and ministry with her devoted husband, Anthony White III. Together, they embark on their mission to spread the gospel through music and worship, and they are a dynamic team in their service to the community. Clarissa and Anthony are proud parents to three beautiful children: Azariah, Anthony IV, and Anaya, who serve as a daily reminder of their commitment to family and faith.
Pastor-Elect Clarissa White answered God’s call to the ministry with an enthusiastic yes, delivering her first sermon on December 14, 2021. Her dedication and passion were recognized when she was licensed to preach on September 10, 2023. She has previously served as the youth minister and praise and worship leader at the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church under the esteemed leadership of Pastor L. Keith Washington, where she honed her skills and deepened her spiritual insight.
In August 2023, Pastor-Elect White was appointed as the Interim Pastor of the Mt. Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in San Francisco, a role she embraced with open arms and a committed heart. Her vision for the church is to cultivate an environment where faith thrives, the love Christ is shared abundantly, and all are welcomed into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Over the past year, she has implemented various ministries aimed at nurturing the spiritual growth and sense of community among her congregation.
As a visionary leader, Pastor-Elect White is deeply invested in ensuring the long-term sustainability and impact of Mt. Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. She firmly believes that the church can withstand the challenges of an ever-evolving society. To this end, she has established collaborative relationships with local non-profit organizations and city officials, positioning the church as a vital resource for community members and local groups alike, ensuring its presence is felt not just at the corner of Haight and Octavia but throughout the community.
Pastor-Elect Clarissa White holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a concentration in Africana Studies from San Francisco State University. She is currently pursuing her Master of Divinity at the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio, further equipping herself for her calling to serve. In addition to her formal education, Pastor-Elect Clarissa is also under the tutelage of the Christian Baptist Fellowship International. Under the mentorship of Bishop DeSean Toler, Sr., who serves as the First Presiding Bishop.
